Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Leo Forman for using Window Shopping. We've tried to keep them short and easy to read.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By installing or using Window Shopping ("the extension"), you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the extension. If you're under the age of adulthood where you live, please read these terms with a parent or carer.

2. What the extension does

Window Shopping is a personal tool for saving products you find on websites and keeping them organised. It isn't a store. We don't sell, supply or deliver products, and we don't take payments. When you buy something, you buy it from that store under the store's own terms, and any problem with the purchase is between you and the store.

3. Your licence to use it

We give you a free, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the extension for your own non-commercial purposes, for as long as you follow these terms. The extension includes open-source software that is licensed to you under its own terms, listed on the Licences page. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences.

4. Your saves and what you add

Everything you save stays on your device. We never receive it, which means we can't recover it if it's lost, for example if you clear your browser data, remove the extension or switch devices. Use Share, then Back everything up, to keep your own copy.

You're responsible for anything you add, such as notes, pictures and background photos. Only add pictures you have the right to use.

5. Prices, stock and product details

The extension picks up product details automatically from the pages you save. They show what the page said at the moment you saved it, and they can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, because prices change, things sell out and some pages are hard to read. Details the extension had to guess are marked as guesses.

Always check the details on the store's website before you buy. We aren't responsible for decisions or purchases you make based on what the extension shows.

6. Other websites and trademarks

Your saves link to websites run by other people. We don't control those websites and aren't responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. Window Shopping isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any store or brand. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners and appear only to show where an item came from.

7. Using it fairly

Please don't use the extension in a way that breaks the law or a website's own terms, or to collect information from websites in bulk. It's made for saving one page at a time while you're looking at it. Please don't present a modified version as ours, or remove its copyright or licence notices.

8. Changes and availability

We may update, change or stop offering the extension or any of its features. We can't promise it will always be available or work with every website. You can stop using it at any time by removing it from your browser.

9. No guarantees, within the law

The extension is free and is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties about it, including that it will be free of errors, always available or accurate.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under consumer protection laws that can't lawfully be excluded. That includes the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law and similar protections in the United Kingdom, the European Union and elsewhere.

10. Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data, or for anything that results from a purchase you make or a decision you take based on what the extension shows. Where the law lets us limit our liability but not exclude it, our liability is limited to supplying the extension again.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as liability for fraud or, where it applies, for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. If you use the extension as a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory laws of the country where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page and mention any significant change in the extension's update notes. If you keep using the extension after a change, the updated terms apply.
